Dr. ELLIOTT HILL,DDS

Dr. Elliott Hill, a Michigan-based educator and dental expert, has proudly supported HCI Jamaica outreach for nearly 20 years, mentoring students and advancing oral health initiatives.Dr. Elliott Hill is a faculty member at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he teaches prosthodontics and serves as Director of the Community-Based Collaborative Care Program. Through his leadership, he has helped connect dental education with meaningful community service and global health initiatives.

For nearly two decades, Dr. Hill has been a committed supporter and participant in the HCI Jamaica outreach mission. During this time, he has sponsored more than 200 dental students to participate in the program, providing them with valuable clinical experience while serving underserved communities.

Dr. Hill also played an important role in establishing a partnership between HCI and the university’s Global Initiatives in Oral and Craniofacial Health (GIOCH). This collaboration has helped secure grant funding and essential supplies that support HCI’s outreach efforts, strengthening the mission to provide care, education, and hope to communities in need.

Dr. KYLE PULLEN,DDS

Dr. Kyle Pullen,  has dedicated over a decade to global outreach, sharing his expertise to improve dental care in underserved Caribbean communities. Dr. Kyle Pullen was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College in 1993, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan in 1997.

For the past 28 years, Dr. Pullen has worked as a private practice dentist while also serving as part-time clinical faculty at the University of Michigan, where he has helped train and mentor future dental professionals.

Dr. Pullen has been a dedicated member of the HealthCare International ReachOut Inc. (HCI) volunteer team for over 10 years, contributing his expertise and compassionate care to outreach missions serving underserved communities across the Caribbean.

LISA SMITH,RDH

Lisa Smith, a dedicated dental hygienist from New Jersey, passionately serves underserved communities, promoting preventive care for children and families.Lisa is a graduate of Garfield High School in New Jersey and earned her Associate in Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Bergen Community College.

She began her career in general dentistry, where she worked for three years before expanding her clinical experience into orthodontics and pediatric dentistry. Her work in these specialties strengthened her passion for preventive care and treating young patients.

Lisa was inspired to join HealthCare International ReachOut Inc. (HCI) in 2011 after hearing about the outreach experience of Dr. Jamie Diament Golub the year prior. Motivated by the mission and the opportunity to serve underserved communities, she became a volunteer and has participated in outreach missions every year since.

Outside of dentistry, Lisa enjoys reading, watching Expedition Unknown, and cheering on the New York Giants.

Dr. JON GOLUB,DMD

Dr. Jon Golub is a board-licensed orthodontist with nearly four decades of clinical experience in private practice. Known for his commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and global humanitarian service, he has built a distinguished career spanning private practice, academic outreach, and international volunteerism.

Dr. Golub earned his Bachelor of Science from Tufts University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he later completed his Certificate in Orthodontics.

Licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts, Dr. Golub has specialized in comprehensive orthodontic care since 1987, treating both pediatric and adult patients while leading and managing a successful private practice.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Golub previously served as a Visiting Clinical Instructor in Global Outreach at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, mentoring dental students and participating in international clinical education initiatives.

He is an active member of several professional organizations, including:

• American Dental Association (ADA)

• American Association of Orthodontists (AAO)

• New Jersey Association of Orthodontists

• New Jersey Dental Association

• Bergen County Dental Society

Driven by a passion for service, Dr. Golub has participated in dental outreach missions around the world, including:

Jamaica • Cambodia • Nepal • Uganda • Mongolia • Guatemala • Haiti • Cabo Verde • Bhutan

His humanitarian work has helped expand access to orthodontic and dental care in underserved communities while also supporting the education and mentorship of future volunteer providers.

Dr. Golub also se-rves as a Board Member of KIDS International Dental Services, contributing to the strategic planning and advancement of international dental humanitarian initiatives.

Through decades of clinical care, education, and global outreach, Dr. Golub exemplifies the spirit of HCI’s mission — using his expertise to transform smiles, uplift communities, and inspire service worldwide.

Dr.JAMIE diament- GOLUB,DMD

Dr. Jamie Diament- Golub, a Pediatric Dental Leader, has dedicated decades to improving children's oral health worldwide through her volunteer efforts and leadership in Pediatric Dentistry.  Dr. Jamie Diament-Golub earned her Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University before completing her Doctorate in Medical Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she was honored with the Alumni Association Pediatric Dental Award for Superior Clinical Excellence. She went on to receive her Pediatric Dentistry Specialty following three additional years of postdoctoral training at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Jamie has been dedicated to children’s dental health since 1980. She has maintained private practice in New Jersey since 1987 while remaining deeply involved in Children’s Dental Public Health initiatives. She is an active member of both the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

In academia, Dr. Jamie served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine and a Clinical Instructor in Public Health and Community Service at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for many years.  In addition,   she has served as a member of the Advisory Board to the Dean at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.  

Dr. Jamie’s greatest passion is bringing pediatric dental care to children in underserved and developing regions around the world. Her volunteer outreach has included over 50  service trips to the following countries:
Cambodia, Jamaica, Guatemala,  Cape Verde, Mongolia, Morocco, South Africa,  Uganda, Ghana, Costa Rica,  Bhutan and  Nepal.  She is a Board Member with Kids International Dental Services and an active volunteer with HealthCare International ReachOut Inc. (HCI).

In recognition of her extraordinary service, Dr. Jamie has received the International Volunteer Service Award from the American Dental Association multiple times over the past decade.Through almost 45 years of clinical care, education, and humanitarian outreach, Dr. Jamie continues to transform the lives of children both locally and  globally, one smile at a time  — improving pediatric oral health while inspiring the next generation of volunteer  dental providers.

Dr. RALPH CUNNIGHAM,DDS

Dr. C. “Ralph” was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He attended St. Mary’s Parochial School and later Mount Saint Michael Academy for high school. He continued his education at the College of the Holy Cross before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University College of Dentistry (1968–1972).

Following dental school, Dr. Ralph proudly served in the United States Navy Dental Corps from 1972 to 1974, including an assignment with the 32nd Marine Amphibious Unit in the Mediterranean from January to June 1973.

After completing his military service, he established a private dental practice in Peekskill, New York, where he faithfully served his community for 50 years (1974–2024).

From 1996 to 2015, Dr. Ralph participated in outreach missions to Jamaica with Dr. Noel Brown and HealthCare International ReachOut (HCI), helping to provide much-needed dental care to underserved communities.

Dr. Ralph often sums up his years of service with a simple philosophy:

“Good work, good fun.”

Dr. BEN GOLUB,DMD

Dr. Ben earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2020. Following dental school, he pursued advanced postdoctoral training in General Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical Center and Rutgers University Hospital.

Dr. Ben’s additional surgical and restorative training allows him to provide a comprehensive scope of care — from routine preventive and restorative dentistry to more complex prosthetic solutions, including crowns, veneers, and dental implants. Known for his gentle approach and attention to detail, he is committed to creating a comfortable, positive experience for every patient he treats.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Ben is a nature enthusiast with a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoys hiking scenic trails and spending time fishing in his favorite spots. His connection to nature brings a sense of balance and tranquility to his life — qualities that translate into the compassionate care he provides to his patients.

Beyond his professional and outdoor pursuits, Dr. Ben values spending quality time with his family. He believes in fostering a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel like an extension of his dental family. His friendly demeanor and genuine care help ease dental anxieties and create lasting patient relationships.

Dr. ZACH GOLUB,DMD

Dr. Zach grew up in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, and attended Syracuse University, where he completed his pre-dental curriculum. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, graduating after four years with Dean’s List distinction. During his time at Tufts, he also received the Outstanding Student Award in Pediatric Dentistry from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Following dental school, Dr. Zach completed his Pediatric Dental Residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Medical Center, where he gained extensive specialty training. His clinical experience includes the management of patients with special healthcare needs, complex medical conditions, craniofacial anomalies, advanced restorative procedures, and comprehensive dental rehabilitation.

Dr. Zach is an active member of both the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In 2023, he achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, completing the rigorous board certification process.

An adventure seeker at heart, Dr. Zach enjoys surfing, hiking, biking, and running in his free time.

He is proud to practice alongside his family — including Dr. Jamie, Dr. Jon, Dr. Mike, and Dr. Ben — and to serve the very community in which he was raised.

Dr. MIKE GOLUB,DMD

Dr. Mike is a graduate of Pascack Hills high school in Montvale and a former player for the World Class soccer club.  He attended Syracuse University where he studied biology. At Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Mike earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine.  He graduated in the top 5% of his class with honors and was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Mike remained in Boston, where he completed his residency training in Orthodontics and Dental Facial Orthopedics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During his residency, Dr. Mike was selected by the Massachusetts Dental Society as a recipient of the prestigious ’10 Under 10′ award. This award recognizes Dr. Mike’s outstanding contributions to his field and his humanitarian work. He is a founder of “The Passion Project” which connects dental students with volunteer opportunities in countries in need of dental care.

When not practicing orthodontics, Dr. Mike is an avid kiteboarder, sailor and fisherman.

Dr.JENNIFER TIPOGRAPH,DDS

Dr. Jennifer Tipograph is a native Washingtonian. She received her Bachelor of Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. After completing her degree at Virginia Tech, Dr. Tipograph began working with Natural Dentist Associates as a dental assistant. While working under Dr. Kimberly Baer, she developed a deep passion for holistic dentistry and treating the body as a whole. Following her apprenticeship as a holistic dental assistant, she attended Howard University College of Dentistry, where she graduated third (and first female!) in her class, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Tipograph enjoys working with patients of all ages, and has extensive experience providing holistic dental care to children and infants. She provides a wide range of dental services while maintaining a holistic and natural approach in all her treatments, including ozone therapy, the use of non-toxic and biocompatible materials, and natural remedies for effective healing and pain relief.

Dr. Tipograph dedicates her time to many organizations, including the Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA) where she provides dental services to Holocaust survivors, and Mission of Mercy where she provides dental care and oral health education to the local underserved community. She enjoys traveling overseas to volunteer with Kids International Dental Services (KIDS) and HealthCare International (HCI) to provide children and adults with access to proper dental treatment. Dr. Tipograph is on the board of the local Alpha Omega chapter, where she oversees and fabricates the monthly newsletter. Additionally, she volunteers with the Jewish Fertility Foundation (JFF) to help bring resources to those in need of education, emotional, and financial support. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Tipograph enjoys exercising and spending time with her husband, two children, and their rescue pup Rosie.

Dr.KIMBERLY BAER,DDS

Dr. Kimberly Baer, DDS, is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and the founder of Natural Dentist Associates in Bethesda, Maryland. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care, with a focus on restorative and integrative dentistry and a strong interest in the connection between oral health and overall wellness.

Through her volunteer work with HealthCare International ReachOut (HCI), Dr. Baer is honored to provide essential dental care to underserved communities in Jamaica. She is committed to relieving pain, restoring function, and treating every patient with dignity and respect.

Dr. Baer views service as both a privilege and a responsibility and is grateful for the opportunity to support HCI’s mission of expanding access to care for those in need while advancing the organization’s commitment to “Global Healing With Helping Hands and Hearts.”

VALDA CHRISTIAN,RN

Valda Christian is a highly experienced registered nurse whose career spans critical care, emergency medicine, long-term care, and global medical outreach. With decades of clinical experience across multiple healthcare settings, she has built a reputation for compassionate care, clinical excellence, and dedication to patient well-being.

Valda has worked extensively in acute care hospitals and long-term care facilities throughout Ontario, including many years with Lakeridge Health and Humber River Regional Hospital, where she provided care in critical care units, emergency departments, medical and surgical wards, oncology, dialysis, maternal and child care, and telemedicine programs. Her expertise includes advanced cardiac care, electrocardiogram interpretation, IV therapy, ventilated patient care, hemodialysis, and pre- and post-surgical patient education.

In addition to her hospital work, Valda has served in leadership and supervisory roles in long-term care, managing staff and coordinating patient care while ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice. She has also supported dental surgical teams by initiating IV lines, administering sedation, and monitoring patients during recovery.

Beyond her clinical work, Valda has contributed to healthcare education and community outreach initiatives. She has helped design and evaluate nursing programs for the Ontario Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Visible Minority Organization and has participated in public health education through radio programming and community lectures.

Valda holds a Nursing Diploma from Humber College and a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University, along with advanced certifications including ACLS Instructor Certification, Coronary Care Certification, and Educator/Facilitator Certification.

A dedicated humanitarian, Valda continues to volunteer her skills in medical and dental outreach programs, including missions with HealthCare International ReachOut Inc. (HCI). Her commitment to service, education, and compassionate care reflects the true spirit of humanitarian healthcare.

Her fundraising initiatives have played a crucial role in strengthening HCI’s ability to serve communities in need. Many of the supplies and donated items that make our outreach missions possible are the direct result of her diligent and persistent work in raising funds for the organization.

Although much of her work is done quietly and without recognition, Junie’s efforts are deeply appreciated. She continues to support HCI in any way she can, always working behind the scenes to help serve underserved communities and to advance HCI’s guiding motto:

Affectionately known as “Dr. Erroll,” Erroll is a dedicated member of the HCI team whose behind-the-scenes work ensures that our instruments and sterilization processes support every outreach mission. His quiet commitment and caring spirit truly reflect HCI’s mission of compassionate global healing.

For years, Erroll has worked tirelessly alongside Ms. Rob, ensuring that every instrument is properly sterilized and ready for use. As we often say, without tools, there is no work — and his dedication behind the scenes makes our service possible.

His commitment to excellence and careful attention to detail directly support our ability to serve the communities we visit each year. While his work may not always be visible outside the sterilization area, it is absolutely essential to the success of every outreach.

Always serving and never complaining, Erroll’s humanitarian spirit is evident to every volunteer who has traveled with HCI. His unselfishness, friendly nature, and genuine desire to help others embody the very heart of our organization.
