
Kirk Thomas is the compassionate leader behind HealthCare International ReachOut Inc. (HCI), dedicated to expanding access to healthcare for underserved communities across the Caribbean and beyond.
As President and Coordinator, Kirk plays a central role in planning, organizing, and executing HCI’s international medical and dental outreach missions. His work involves coordinating volunteer teams of doctors, dentists, students, and support staff; managing logistics and partnerships; overseeing medical supplies and clinical operations; and building strong relationships with local schools, ministries, and community leaders.
With a deep passion for humanitarian service, Kirk has helped facilitate life-changing care for thousands of patients through HCI’s outreach initiatives. Known for his unwavering commitment and tireless behind-the-scenes leadership, he continues to guide the organization’s mission of healing, hope, and service.
Kirk remains driven by the belief that compassion, collaboration, and service can transform lives and uplift communities.

Dr. Steve Caldroney is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon specializing in reconstructive surgery and maxillofacial oncology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2003.
Following dental school, Dr. Caldroney served in the United States Air Force before continuing his advanced surgical training. He later completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at NYU/Bellevue Hospital Center. He subsequently earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the NYU School of Medicine, further expanding his expertise in surgical care.
Dr. Caldroney went on to complete a Head and Neck Microvascular Fellowship at the University of Maryland, specializing in complex head and neck cancer surgery and reconstruction. He later moved to Boston, where he focuses on Head and Neck Cancer Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Caldroney is the author of several scholarly articles in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Committed to humanitarian service, he frequently participates in dental and medical outreach missions to Jamaica, volunteering alongside HealthCare International ReachOut (HCI). He often travels on these missions with his wife, Dr. Kapetanakos, working together to bring specialized care to underserved communities.

Meet Dr. Melani Kapetanakos, a dedicated prosthodontist committed to restoring smiles and improving lives through expert care and compassion. Dr. Kapetanakos is a board-certified Prosthodontist dedicated to restoring oral function and improving the quality of life for her patients.
She earned her DDS from New York University College of Dentistry in 2003 and completed her Certificate in Prosthodontics at NYU in 2007, where she was awarded the Kenneth Adisman Award for Outstanding Resident.
In 2015, she completed a Maxillofacial Prosthetics Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, specializing in the rehabilitation of patients with complex oral and facial conditions.
She is the author of several professional publications and regularly participates in dental outreach missions with HCI, serving communities in Jamaica.

Danielle Thomas serves as the Director of Compliance for HealthCare International ReachOut Inc. (HCI), where she combines strategic insight, legal expertise, and a passion for service to help expand access to healthcare globally.
With a law degree, a background in legal affairs and risk assessment, Danielle brings a strong focus on governance, compliance, and sustainable organizational growth. In her professional career, she specializes in navigating complex regulatory environments, assessing risk, and ensuring organizations operate with integrity and foresight.
At HCI, Danielle applies this same diligence to humanitarian service, helping ensure outreach missions are well-structured, compliant, and built for long-term impact. She believes meaningful service requires both compassion and strong foundations, and she is committed to strengthening the systems that allow HCI to serve communities with excellence.

Alessandra Brown is a strategic thinker with extensive experience in Corporate Social Responsibility, community engagement, and outreach initiatives. She is the founder and CEO of A Brown Consulting Group and serves as a partner consultant with Unlock Creative.
Prior to launching her consulting firm, Alessandra spent more than 19 years developing career exploration programs for K–12 students while leading initiatives focused on corporate social responsibility, community partnerships, and educational outreach. She previously led program and operations at Timothy Smith Network and served as the first Director of the Roxbury Innovation Center, supporting entrepreneurs and students from Boston’s underrepresented communities.
Alessandra holds a Master of Fine Arts in Production and Management from the California Institute of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts and English from Boston College. Her work reflects a deep commitment to leadership, opportunity, and community empowerment.

Brittany Thomas is a strategic leader with over a decade of experience spanning corporate finance, administration, and operations. She brings a strong give-back, mission-driven mindset, allowing her expertise in financial strategy and organizational leadership to truly shine — ensuring that structure, accountability, and impact go hand in hand.
At her core, Brittany believes that strong systems create stronger communities. She is deeply passionate about leveraging her professional experience to make a meaningful difference beyond the numbers, aligning financial stewardship with service and sustainable impact.

Jolene Brown, MA, is the daughter of Dr. Noel Brown and Denice Brown, both pioneers of HCI’s mission and foundation. Carrying forward her family’s legacy of service, Jolene has dedicated the past decade of her career to supporting under-resourced communities in New York, Virginia, North Carolina, and Jamaica.
As one of the Directors of Non-Medical Volunteers, Jolene is committed to strengthening HCI’s impact beyond clinical care. She works to support the populations HCI serves through education, training initiatives, and child-friendly activities that foster engagement, empowerment, and long-term community growth.
Her leadership reflects a deep-rooted passion for service and a continued commitment to advancing HCI’s mission of “Global Healing With Helping Hands and Hearts.”

DiAndrea Brown, M.Ed, is the daughter of Dr. Noel Brown and Denice Brown, co-founders of HealthCare International ReachOut Inc. (HCI). Growing up closely connected to the organization’s mission, she has long been involved in supporting HCI’s outreach and humanitarian efforts.
DiAndrea currently serves as a School Counselor in the Atlanta, Georgia area, where she is dedicated to guiding and supporting students as they navigate their academic and personal development.
Over the years, she has contributed to HCI in many capacities, offering her time, support, and commitment to the organization’s work. Her passion for helping others continues to inspire her involvement and dedication to HCI’s mission.
DiAndrea’s love for service and her belief in the importance of community care motivate her to help ensure that HCI continues to support families and communities in Jamaica and other countries served by the organization.

Jared’s journey with HCI began at just sixteen years old when he participated in his first mission trip — an experience that ignited his humanitarian spirit and deepened his commitment to service.
After graduating from Manhattanville College with a degree in Marketing, Jared chose to give back by supporting HCI’s ongoing mission to serve underserved communities. His passion for service, combined with his professional training, positions him to help expand the organization’s outreach and strengthen its efforts to garner broader support.
As HCI looks toward the future, Jared’s enthusiasm, fresh perspective, and dedication to the mission are both welcomed and valued.
